our precious babies travel from a cozy dark womb, into a bright loud world. they need love and assurance to make the transition feel safe. we hold their little bodies close to our chest, so they feel our skin and warmth. the rise and fall of our chest lulls them back to dreamy sleep. and when the time comes to lay them peacefully in their beds the ghost of our embrace can continue with a comforting noon.
